Background information
A large number of children live in Espoonlahti, and more early childhood education and care services are needed. A new, larger day-care centre will be built next to Espoonlahti Sports Park on Rehtorintie. It will accommodate 12 groups. The area is currently home to the old fire station, which will be demolished.
The area is currently being planned, and a detailed plan for it is being prepared. The opportunity to add more services and activities in addition to the day-care centre is simultaneously being investigated. Residents of the surrounding area will be taken into account in the planning. The area’s nature values will be surveyed already at the early stages of the planning.
A new indoor swimming pool will be built where Espoonlahti day-care centre is currently standing. Its detailed plan is also being prepared. Read more on the Uintiportti plan page.
