Lintuvaara access streets
Streets and trafficLeppävaaraEspoo’s Public Works Department has initiated the design process for the following local streets in Lintuvaara: Hempontie, Punatulkuntie, Tiklinkuja, Sepelkyyhkyntie, Kirkkalantie, Kirkkalanportti, and Kirvisenpuisto. These are existing local streets that will be refurbished to comply with the local detailed plan.

Design
A park path is being planned for Kirvisenpuisto. At the same time, traffic safety and drainage will be improved. The street structures will be renewed, and the roadways and turning areas will be paved and fitted with kerbstones. Street lighting will be renewed. While the streets currently have water supply and sewer networks, they lack a stormwater drainage system. Drainage currently relies on open ditches, and the area has experienced problems related to stormwater. To improve drainage and address stormwater issues, a new stormwater sewer system will be designed and constructed; properties will be required to connect to this system in the future. Draft plans will be made available for review on the otakantaa.fi service during the autumn of 2026. Residents and other interested parties will have two weeks to comment on the drafts on the site.
Following the draft stage, the finalized street plan proposal will be made available for public review in late 2026. Parties concerned will be notified separately by letter when the plan is available for review.
