The purpose of the town plan and the change to the town plan will allow the conversion of the northern parts of the area near Espoon keskus station into a residential area. The town plan will secure the regionally significant ecological connection running through the area and other natural values, as well as the possibilities for the expansion and development of recreational areas. The town plan will also take into account the integration of new construction into the surrounding single-family housing and the wider landscape. The participation and assessment plan and the preparatory material of the plan will be publicly available in the period between 12 June and 11 July 2023. The area has previously been planned under the name Kaupunginkallio I A, 613200.
