Design
The traffic capacity of Höyrylaivantie will be exceeded once the new shopping centre Lippulaiva is completed and the land use in the area becomes more dense.
Streets will be renovated by, for example, adding lanes on Höyrylaivantie as well as an underpass for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. In addition, the arrangements for pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be improved. The underpass of Merirosvonportti will be renovated. The roadways of the streets will be equipped with kerbstones and stormwater will be conveyed to stormwater drains or tanks through street inlets. New water supply infrastructure and technical networks will be built in the streets. Street trees and shrubs will be planted in central and intermediate lanes, and grass will be sown on roadsides. The street lighting will be replaced. The planning area includes measures that extend to the road area, and they have been presented to the Uusimaa ELY Centre.
Drafts of the street plan will be presented at a residents' event to be held at the Espoo Public Works centre at Tekniikantie 15 (entrance from the courtyard) in the Pitkäjärvi conference room on 12 June 2024 from 16.30 to 18.00. The event will start with the presentation of the draft plan, with time reserved for opinions afterwards. You can examine the draft plans in advance on the project website starting on 6 June 2024. You can comment on the drafts at the residents’ event.
