Hansatie between Räävelintie and Hansapyörä

The aim of the renovation is to reduce driving speeds on Hansatie by adding traffic islands and raised bus stops. Visibility at the Riiantie intersection will also be improved by reducing the slope of the existing hill.

In Espoo’s target cycling network, the section of Hansatie between Räävelintie and Hansapyörä is designated as a main route for local bicycle traffic. As part of the project, the current shared pedestrian and cycling path will be divided into separate paths for pedestrians and cyclists. In addition, lighting and the street’s municipal infrastructure will be updated.

The planning material is available for comments on the Otakantaa.fi website(external link, opens in a new window) as of 30 October 2024. You can comment on the material until 13 November 2024.

After the public review period, we will respond to feedback and questions collectively.

After the draft plan stage, the street plan proposal will be finalised and made available for public review 7.-21.1.2025. The interested parties will be informed of the public review period separately by post. Street construction work is expected to start in 2025 at the earliest.
