Espoo’s Public Works Department is planning a neighbourhood sports area in the Telaniitty detailed plan area. The detailed plan entered into force on 7 January 2021. The sports area plan includes a new artificial turf field for football, tennis courts, a multi-purpose field and space for outdoor exercise equipment. In addition, a space will be reserved for a changing room and shower building. In accordance with the detailed plan, new routes are also being planned to Hauenkalliontie and Telatie, improving access to the area for pedestrians and cyclists. Currently, there are parking spaces on the western side of Gräsanoja. The Technical Services Committee approved the plans on 28 February 2024.

The area is known to have flying squirrel routes, which will be taken into account by planting trees. The plan also includes stormwater swales that collect stormwater before it runs into Gräsanoja. The neighbourhood sports area will serve local schools, residents and sports enthusiasts.
