The intention is to demolish some of the current buildings. In addition, the expansion of the current plots to create sufficient outdoor areas and the expansion of the public parking area on the northern side of Ruutikatu and its use for the school’s parking needs will be studied in the planning. Proposal is available for public review 3.11-2.12.2025.

Background information
The facilities of the Postipuu school and day care centre will be expanded to meet the needs of the growing population. The aim of the town planning is to use the plots more efficiently. The primary objective of the Premises Department is a joint project, in which the plots are joined and the functions are placed in the same building. The walking and cycling connections as well as the Kirkkalanoja streaming water area that crosses the area are taken into account in the planning.
