Etuniemenkuja

Streets and trafficMatinkylä

Espoo’s Public Works Department has started planning the southern end of Etuniemenkuja. The purpose of the project is to extend the street by completing its southern end. In addition, we will improve the stormwater structures and flying squirrel routes in the area. The need for lighting repairs will also be assessed during the project.

Etuniemenkuja is located in Matinkylä, in the Tiistinniitty II detailed plan area. The street planning process will take account of the ecological corridor for flying squirrels included in the detailed plan, as well as possible parking spaces, the wetlands in the area and the risk of flooding. In addition, we will plan a park path to connect Etuniemenkuja with the path in the northern part of Etuniemenpuisto as well as trees along the street and in the park to support the flying squirrel route.

The street and park plans will be available for public review from 2 December to 17 December 2024.
