Construction planning of park paths on private land and Heidkullanmäki park planning in Lommila
ParksEspoon keskusEspoo’s Public Works Department has started drawing up construction and park plans for the Karvasmäki area in Lommila. A park plan will be drawn up for the Heidkullanmäki protective green area (EV), including a park path. Street Manager approved the plans on 15 June 2025.

A flying squirrel study will be carried out in the protective green area in connection with the park planning process.
In the detailed plan, the planning area is marked as a street area, private plot and protective green area.
A pick-up warehouse will be opened in Karvasmäki in early 2025, and the pedestrian and cycling routes to the warehouse will be developed. The current route runs through Lommilantie.
A plan has been prepared for the planning area, and it will change the position of Lommilankatu and the routes in the area. It is not known when the plan will be implemented, so temporary pedestrian and cycling routes will run through the block area reserved for commercial buildings (KM) and the protective green area (EV). In addition, routes running under Ring III towards the north will be improved. The existing route passing under Turunväylä to Lommilanrinne will also be renovated.
The Heidkullanmäki park plan will become available for public comment on the otakantaa.fi website 8.-22.5.2025.
Construction work will begin once the plans have been completed.
