The plan is to construct a residential block with bottom-floor commercial premises, similar to city centres. Furthermore, a potential aim is to construct hybrid buildings, which may contain more commercial, service and work facilities on the lower floors and homes on the upper floors.
The amendment area is located in a highly visible spot when arriving in Otaniemi, near the corner of Miestentie and Tekniikantie. To the southeast, the area is bordered by Kehä I, Hagalundintie. It is part of Hagalundinkallio development area.
