Nature House Villa Elfvik is closed 12 October 2026–6 January 2027

7.10.2026 9.00

The Nature House will be temporarily closed from 12 October due to interior renovation work. Outdoor services will be available during the renovation. You can contact our customer service by phone Monday–Friday from 9:00 to 15:00, or send us an email whenever it suits you.

You can visit the nature trails while the building is closed. The themed nature trail materials are available online. You are also welcome to join our adventurous, family-friendly polar night trip on Sunday 15 November at 11:00. The trip will start from the yard of the Nature House, next to the statue.

You can enjoy your snacks in the yard or at the tables along the nature trail. The waste collection point has separate bins for plastic, cardboard, glass and metal packaging. There is also a compost bin for biowaste. You can find portable toilets, including an accessible toilet, in the yard of the Nature House.

Nature school days scheduled for Espoo-based school groups during the closure of the building will be held outdoors. The Uikunpesä club room in the outbuilding will serve as their base. A lightweight rain shelter is also available to the nature school.

During the project, Villa Elfvik’s kitchen as well as floor and wall surfaces will be renovated. A part of the yard will be fenced off as a construction site. There will be construction site vehicles in the yard, so please be careful when visiting the area.

The Nature House will open its doors to the public on Thursday 7 January 2027. Bookings for private events and meetings in 2027 can also be made during the renovation project.
