Mobile device policy and smartglasses
The Finnish National Agency for Education has specified its instructions on the use of smartglasses in school, categorising smartglasses as mobile devices equivalent to phones, smartwatches and wristphones. Consequently, smartglasses are subject to Basic Education Act regulations on the use of mobile devices. Please follow the mobile device policy of Espoo Childcare and Education as well. This policy applies to all mobile devices, including but not limited to smartglasses.

In addition, the Finnish National Agency for Education recommends that smartglasses not constitute a pupil's only glasses, as their use may be restricted during the school day for to ensure teaching conditions, peace and quiet, safety and privacy.
