Culture and Youth Committee decides on cultural grants and principles for granting and pricing time slots at youth centres
At its first meeting of the autumn, the Culture and Youth Committee made a proposal for the 2027 budgetary framework, decided on the new principles for granting and pricing time slots at youth centres and camping centres, and awarded cultural event and project grants.
The Culture and Youth Committee made its proposal concerning the budgetary framework for 2027 and the financial plan for 2028–2029 for the preparation of the mayor’s budget proposal.
The committee gave a favourable opinion on the project plan for the new lower secondary school, day care centre and youth centre in Kera. According to the opinion, the youth centre included in the project plan meets the objectives set in the needs assessment as well as the needs of Youth Services.
The committee decided to propose the following changes to the fees of the Espoo City Library to the City Board: The overdue fee will be increased to 30 cents per day, and no fee will be collected from under 18-year-olds for replacing a lost or damaged library card.
The committee decided to approve the new principles for granting and pricing time slots at youth centres and camping centres and to award a total of EUR 28,400 in cultural event and project grants to five different operators.
