Espoo.fi user survey gathered residents’ views to support website development

The City of Espoo collected residents’ views to support the development of the Espoo.fi website through a national survey conducted among users of municipal websites. A total of 1,789 users responded to Espoo’s survey between 16 January and 13 February 2026.
The current Espoo.fi website was launched in September 2021 and has been continuously developed since then. The results of the user survey support user-oriented development work. The responses highlighted, in particular, the need to improve the website’s search function, navigation and content quality.
Over the past year, the Espoo.fi website has undergone improvements, including updates to the event and hobby search functions and the development of separate sub-sites. In addition, an AI-based translation service was piloted on the Hello Espoo website in 2024 and 2025, and experiences from the pilot are currently being collected. The website’s accessibility is continuously improved to ensure compliance with the objectives of the Act on the Provision of Digital Services.
The City of Espoo thanks everyone who participated in the survey. The feedback received is valuable and will guide the further development of the website. The gift card draw related to the survey has been completed, and the winner has been notified.
