Culture and Youth Committee awarded cultural grants and raised library printing fees
At its second meeting of the year, the Culture and Youth Committee decided on the recipients of event, project and development grants and raised library printing fees.
The Culture and Youth Committee decided to award a total of EUR 12,900 in event and project grants to four operators. In addition, a total of EUR 66,000 in development grants was granted to four operators. The recipients include the Finnish Jazz Showcase organised in connection with this year’s April Jazz, as well as a multidisciplinary art project that explores the changing Tapiola district through local memories and the phenomenon of nostalgia.
The Culture and Youth Committee decided to raise library printing fees to EUR 0.40 per page, in line with the budget-balancing measure approved by the Espoo City Council on 4 December 2025. Previously, the printing fee was EUR 0.20 per page. The increase is expected to generate an additional EUR 100,000 in revenue.
