The application period for afternoon activities in Finnish-language basic education for school year 2026–2027 will begin in April

The application period for afternoon activities in Finnish-language basic education for school year 2026–2027 will open on Friday 24th of April, 2026.

Afternoon activities are organized for pupils in grades 1–2 as well as for pupils in grades 3–9 who have a decision on support.

Afternoon activities are voluntary, supervised leisure-time activities organized at the child’s school after the school day. The activities include playing, physical activities and crafts in groups of approximately 15 children. A daily snack is provided during the afternoon. Afternoon activities are subject to a fee.

Applications for afternoon activities can be submitted electronically in Wilma between 24th April and 10th May 2026 under the “Hakemukset ja päätökset” tab. If electronic applying is not possible, the application can be printed from the Forms and instructions(external link, opens in a new window) page.
