Libraries’ 3D printers to be centralised at Iso Omena and Sello libraries

As of 15 April 2026, Espoo libraries’ 3D printers will be centralised at the Iso Omena and Sello libraries. This will facilitate their maintenance.
Espoo City Library will establish improved 3D printing stations for customers at the Iso Omena and Sello libraries. In the future, all of Espoo City Library’s 3D printers will be available at these locations. The 3D stations will open to customers on 15 April.
The 3D printers at the Entresse, Lippulaiva and Tapiola libraries will be available for customers until Sunday 12 April. After this, the devices will be moved to the Iso Omena and Sello libraries. Other makerspace services at the Entresse, Lippulaiva and Tapiola libraries will remain unchanged.
With this change, we aim to improve the reliability of 3D printing services. We will be able to maintain and service the devices more efficiently. In addition, backup devices will be available, reducing the need to cancel customer reservations.
