Do you know a swimming spot where water quality is not yet being monitored? – Tell us about it by 3 April 2026

Espoo Region Environmental Health Services monitors the water quality of public beaches in Espoo, Kirkkonummi and Kauniainen. Residents can now suggest new swimming spots where water quality should be monitored.

How to suggest water quality monitoring at a new swimming spot:

1. Check if the swimming spot is already being monitored: Espoo and Kauniainen, Kirkkonummi.
2. Send your suggestion by email to uimavesivalvonta@espoo.fi by 3 April 2026.

Espoo Region Environmental Health Services will forward the suggestions to the municipality or other operator responsible for maintaining the swimming spot. They will decide whether the swimming spot will become a public beach. In order to monitor water quality, the swimming spot must have a designated operator responsible for its cleanliness and safety.
