Employment and Integration Subcommittee starts its term on 8 September 2025
On 8 September 2025, the City Board’s Employment and Integration Subcommittee had its first meeting of the new council term. The subcommittee’s chair is Markku Sistonen (Social Democratic Party).
At the meeting, the members determined the subcommittee’s meeting schedule for the autumn 2025 and spring 2026. Meetings will be held on 3 November and 8 December 2025 and 23 February, 27 April and 8 June 2026.
The subcommittee discussed the current employment situation, the integration programme and interim reports. In addition, the subcommittee was given an overview of the budgetary plans and the preparation of the Espoo Story, based on which a preliminary debate was held and observations were recorded for further stages of preparation.
Did you know that
Integration matters were added to the subcommittee’s responsibilities as of autumn 2025. Therefore, the Employment Subcommittee was renamed the Employment and Integration Subcommittee.
