A change of the plot subdivision on the site has been approved, and plot parcelling is underway in line with the change. The area of the future plot is approximately 4,100 square metres, with a permitted building volume of 1,200 gross square metres on two floors.

The plot includes a school building from 1910, which is protected under the detailed plan, as well as an outbuilding, which was completed in 1911 and used as the school’s kitchen. The school building requires renovation. The school building is 1,030 gross square metres and the outbuilding is 107 gross square metres in size. The floor areas have not been verified through measurement.

The transaction includes a waste collection point outside of the leased area. It was built in 2003 and is approximately 15 gross square metres in size. Applicants can also present project plans for the adjacent plot on which the waste collection point is located. The plot has no other buildings besides the waste collection point, and the area of the plot is approximately 7,200 square metres, with a permitted building volume of 900 gross square metres.

The selected project will be presented to the City Board’s Business and Competitiveness Subcommittee. According to the project plans, the direct leasing of the land or a planning reservation will be proposed for the project. The decision on the deed of sale of the buildings and land lease will be made by the Business and Competitiveness Subcommittee.

The application period starts on 3 March 2025 and ends on 5 June 2025 at 15:45. Further information on the property and the application procedure is available on the espoo.fi website.
