Espoo is selling old Kungsgårdsskolan buildings with a leasehold right
Update 25 April 2025: The application process has been suspended until further notice.
The City of Espoo is looking for a buyer for the old Kungsgårdsskolan buildings through an open two-phase application procedure to develop new activities in the buildings.
The selected project will be presented to the City Board’s Business and Competitiveness Subcommittee. According to the project plans, the direct leasing of the land or a planning reservation will be proposed for the project.
If the direct leasing of the land is proposed for the project, the project must sign the final deed of sale of the buildings and the land lease within six (6) months of the subcommittee’s decision becoming legally valid.
If a planning reservation is proposed for the project, a preliminary agreement concerning the purchase of the buildings will be concluded with the project proposed as the recipient of the planning reservation. The final deed of sale of the buildings and land lease will be concluded once the detailed plan amendment or deviation decision possibly required by the project has been confirmed and the project has obtained the permits required for its activities. The above-mentioned land lease requires a separate decision by the Business and Competitiveness Subcommittee.
During the application procedure, applicants can also present project plans for the adjacent property 49-45-102-17.
You can participate in the application procedure by submitting a written application. The brochure materials contain more detailed information on how to apply.
The application period starts on 13 March 2025 and ends on 19 June 2025 at 12:00.
