KAMU celebrates Espoo Day on 30-31 August 2024 with a varied programme at different locations

Espoo Day is a day of celebration for all Espoo residents, celebrated annually on the last Saturday in August. This year, Espoo Day will be celebrated on Friday and Saturday 30-31 August. KAMU has a wide range of activities for all ages at its various locations. Admission to all the programmes is free.

Events around Espoo:

Guided Tour at Espoonkartano

KAMU arranges a guided tour at Espoonkartano Manor on Espoo Day at 14-15. During the guided tour we get to know both the history of the Espoonkartano Manor, the park and the surroundings in the area. The tour is in Finnish.

History Walk in Träskända Manor Park

The Espoo Day history walk explores the manor's past, manor life and the 19th century English garden. The walk takes you around the garden along paths. Departure at 17:30 from the main entrance of the manor house, Träskändan puistotie 6. The tour is in Finnish

KAMU at WeeGee has free entrance on Fridays at 15–19.

Saturday 31.8.2024 

Kamu at WeeGee

Espoo Day is a Saturday and Exhibition Centre WeeGee will be open from 11.00 to 17.00. The Espoo 2060 pop-up exhibition can be visited during those hours. Please note that the Lego workshop and its fun activities are available to visitors from noon to 16.00.

The Manor on the King´s Road / KAMU WeeGee, open from 11.00 to 17.00
Come and be introduced to the delightful manor life and the Espoo Manor! At KAMU’s exhibition The Manor on the King´s Road, you can learn about life at the manor all the way from the 16th to the 21 century. You can immerse yourself in the life at the manor by listening, viewing, trying things out and playing. Children can ride a hobby horse through the entire exhibition.

Pentala Archipelago Museum

Espoo Day at the Pentala Archipelago Museum includes folk music, carpet weaving, a visit to sheep enclosure and a quick visits to the home museum Gurli’s House. Entrance to the museum and the programme is free all day.

Glims Farmstead Museum

We have a lot of fun things to do for the whole family. Come meet the sheep, pet the cute mini-ponies, and get to know different craft-techniques.
