Espoo is updating its Playground Programme
Espoo’s Public Works Department is updating the playground programme 2016–2026 for the next ten-year period, i.e. 2026–2036. The programme is part of the city’s green area programme. The programme is due to be completed by the end of 2025.
The playground programme covers almost 200 public playgrounds and residents’ parks managed by the Public Works Department. The programme does not cover playgrounds located in the yards of day care centres and schools. The aim of the work is to ensure a diverse, safe, accessible and sufficiently extensive network of high-quality playgrounds that serve all Espoo residents equally and to create guidelines for the annual construction and renovation of playgrounds during the next ten-year period.
