The City of Espoo to commission nature reports related to the master plan

The City of Espoo will during this spring and summer commission several nature reports as part of the work for the Espoo Master Plan 2060. The nature reports will concern the areas of Hista, Forsbacka, Viiskorpi, Mankki and the central park and other individual areas around Espoo.

The nature reports will survey things such as nature and vegetation types, bird population, the presence of flying squirrels and bats and ecological links. The nature reports involve surveying the areas many times and some of the field visits will be carried out very early in the morning or at night.

The City of Espoo commissions similar basic reports every year. The people carrying out the surveys this summer will not enter private yards.
