Metro extension to Kivenlahti to open soon – 50-year-old City of Espoo offering public transport journeys to culture and events

The second phase of the West Metro will bring five new metro stations to Espoo. Operation on the new section of the metro from Matinkylä to Kivenlahti will start on 3 December 2022.

To celebrate the opening of the metro extension, the 50-year-old City of Espoo is offering public transport journeys to culture and events. Throughout December, tickets to certain cultural events will include HSL single tickets.

So hop on the metro and embark on a cultural journey!

The HSL ticket benefit is included in the following events

  1. Espoo City Theatre: En päässyt Juliaksi 13 and 14 December, Louhi Hall
  2. Tapiola Sinfonietta: DOUBLE DOUBLE (season concert) 16 December
  3. WeeGee Exhibition Centre: ticket to exhibitions
  4. Espoo Cultural Centre

What is included in the benefit?

When you buy a ticket to an event, you will receive codes entitling you to two single tickets in the ABC zone. This means that you can conveniently travel to and from the cultural event by public transport.

How can I claim the benefit?

HSL’s ABC zone single tickets are only included in some of the event tickets for sale. To claim the benefit, please note that

  • the benefit is only included in tickets purchased from the Lippupiste online shop
  • the benefit is only included in tickets purchased in December, after 0:00 on 1 December.

When you buy a ticket to an event, you will receive codes entitling you to two single tickets in the ABC zone.
