Health centres’ telephone service is still very busy – we only call clients back once

In recent weeks, clients of Espoo’s health centres have had to wait several days for a call-back if their matter is not urgent. In urgent cases, we call clients on the same day.

Normally, we try to reach clients twice, but in recent months the telephone lines have been exceptionally busy and we have only called clients back once. We may also return calls in the evening or during the weekend. Some health centres will returns calls also on Mon 26th Dec. 

The increased health care waiting times caused by the pandemic pose a challenge that will take several months to tackle, and the number of calls to health centres has risen significantly after the pandemic.  Our staff are working hard to clear the backlog, and we ask for your patience in this situation. We are constantly developing our health services regarding the call-back system and the availability of appointments.
