The City of Espoo will be granting a planning reservation for an unbuilt commercial plot in Suurpelto. The plot is located north of Suurpelto’s shopping centre Suuris, at Lukukatu 2.

The plot can be used for a large retail unit or a concentration of retail units, office premises, and public and private service premises. The area of the plot is approximately 4,100 m2, and the permitted building volume is 8,500 gross m2.

Individual operators or consortiums of several operators with prior experience in similar projects may apply. The planning reservation for the plot will be granted to the applicant who makes the highest bid on the plot. The final decision on the granting of the planning reservation will be made by the Business and Competitiveness Subcommittee of the City Board.

The aim of the planning reservation is to advance the project so that the plot will eventually be handed over to the recipient of the planning reservation. The intention is to lease the plot, but if the applicant prefers to purchase the plot, the city is open for negotiations.

The application period starts on 12 December 2022 and ends on 13 February 2023 at 15:45. Further information on the plot and the application procedure is available on Espoo’s website.
