Espoo medal recipients 2022

The Espoo medal has been awarded to 15 people in recognition of their work for the benefit of the City of Espoo. The 2022 Espoo medals will be presented at the Independence Day Gala Concert available online on 6 Dec at 14:30.
The recipients of the Espoo medal are:

- Katariina Kurikko, ringette player
- Teemu Lahtinen, Member of City Council
- Timo Lappalainen, President and CEO of Orion Corporation
- Raili Lindberg, Laajalahti ry
- Sari Lindblom, Rector of the University of Helsinki
- Antti Mäkinen, Projekt Director
- Ari Puheloinen, General
- Kimmo Puranen, Executive Manager of Espoon Miekkailijat
- Petra Rahikainen, Kaivo Espoo ry
- Ville Saksi, CEO of Länsimetro Oy
- Johanna Venho, author
- Arttu Wiskari, musician and entrepreneur
The Espoo medal, designed by medal artist Kauko Räsänen, has been awarded to more than 500 people since 1972 in recognition of their work for the benefit of the city. The recipients are chosen by the medal committee of the City of Espoo.
