New recreational area in Suvisaaristo
New recreational services for outdoor enthusiasts are now available in Bergö in Suvisaaristo.
A nature trail has been built next to the bird-watching tower that was completed earlier this year. The 2.5-kilometre trail allows you to enjoy the varying habitat and landscape types in the Bergö-Ramsö nature reserve ranging from common alder woods to bare rock.
The nature trail follows the existing network of trails and has been marked with signs. There are also more signs guiding visitors to the bird-watching tower from Suvisaarentie and Bergöntie.
An excellent place for a picnic
There is a picnic table and a waste container in the area. In addition, two parking areas have been built for vehicles. One can be found at the intersection of Suvisaarentie and Bergöntie, and the larger parking area is located closer to the bird-watching tower along Bergöntie.
The area is also easy to reach by bus from Matinkylä. The bus stops are located on Suvisaarentie, very close to the Bergöntie intersection. The stops are 400 metres from the start of the nature trail and 500 metres from the bird-watching tower
