Senioripaku toured around Espoo, offering culture, guided exercise and guidance to elderly people, one stop at a time.  The activities were carried out during the summer of 2022, and there were a total of 39 events across Espoo. More than 800 visitors participated in the events.

Participants enjoyed guided exercise and cultural experiences, and the staff of Nestori (Guidance and Service Counselling for Senior Citizens) were there to answer questions. Cultural experiences included a visual arts workshop, French horn playing, a disco for senior citizens hosted by Tuija Piepponen, music performances, poetry reading, and stories about Espoo and its history told by Mari Anthoni.

First and foremost, people got to spend time together. Visitors met old acquaintances and had lively discussions with other participants and organisers. There was joy and laughter in the air, and people had fun sharing memories. Participants looked forward to the activities and gained new experiences.

Senioripaku has received a lot of praise and feedback, which will help us plan our activities for the next season.

“It was so nice to meet an old friend that I hadn’t seen in a long time!”

“Thank you for this event; it really took me down memory lane.”

“I definitely wanted to come back, as I had so much fun the last time.”

Senioripaku would like to thank all its visitors for this season; you made this summer unforgettable!
