Mestarintunneli on Ring I in Leppävaara will be closed for the night due to a rescue exercise

Mestarintunneli, located on Ring I in Leppävaara, will be closed on Tuesday 13 September at 22:30 and opened for traffic on Wednesday 14 September at 4:30 in the morning. The tunnel will be closed due to a rescue exercise.

During the exercise, traffic will be diverted to Turuntie and Mäkkylän puistotie.

The exercise will involve smoke, which may come out of the tunnel. This is not a cause for concern.

The Rescue Department, the police, emergency medical services, the Emergency Response Centre, the ELY Centre, and the City of Espoo will participate in the rescue exercise.
