Graduation ceremonies will be held on 4 June 2022 – more than 1,400 students will be graduating from general upper secondary schools in Espoo

“Espoo’s new upper secondary school graduates have done well despite having to contend with the exceptional teaching arrangements resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, such as distance learning. I want to congratulate each and every graduate and thank our schools’ staff for the work they have done to support their students. I am happy for all the young people and general upper secondary schools that so many graduates get to don the student cap this spring,” rejoices Director of Upper Secondary Education and Youth Services Tapio Erma.

The graduation ceremonies of general upper secondary schools will be held on 4 June 2022. The names of the new graduates who have consented to their name being published have been published on the websites of Espoo’s general upper secondary schools.  

At Espoo’s Finnish-speaking general upper secondary schools, the spring 2022 graduates’ average grade for all subjects was 4.59. The national average was 4.33. Among Espoo’s schools, Kuninkaantien lukio achieved the best results. Average grades are calculated based on the following scale: L (7), E (6), M (5), C (4), B (3), A (2) and I (0). 

Espoo has ten Finnish-speaking and one Swedish-speaking general upper secondary schools and a variety of different weighted-curricula offering opportunities for specialisation.
