Waste skips for spring cleaning require a land use permit

During the spring cleaning season, there are skips for litter, branches and garden waste in many yards and lawn areas. Did you know that skips placed in city-owned land areas require a land use permit?
Skips and the trucks that carry them can damage park paths and plants that may be in poor condition after the winter. Areas damaged by heavy loads are often not repaired. Both housing companies and private individuals have to apply for a permit if they wish to place a skip in a city-owned area.
Read more about short-term land lease and land use permits on our website. You can find a link to the short-term land lease application at the bottom of the page. Send your application by email to tonttiyksikkö@espoo.fi.
Have a sunny spring and enjoyable spring cleaning days!
