This year, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the PianoEspoo Festival, a journey originally conceived by a small group of people which has born fruit as thousands of enriching concert experiences. This jubilee year offers piano music reflecting the world around us. Themes explored in the concerts include war & peace and love & belief; the storytellers are a magnificent array of pianists ranging from brilliant newcomers to consummate masters. Joining the pianists are some exceptional ensembles: the world-renowned Brentano Quartet, Espoo’s own Tapiola Sinfonietta, and the Tapiola Youth Symphony Orchestra, an ensemble that radiates youthful enthusiasm for music-making.
