The monitoring group for the preparation of the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county has been appointed

The 44 members of the monitoring group include the chairs of Western Uusimaa city and municipal boards and the rescue services as well as representatives of local political parties and groups. The monitoring group shall not participate in decision-making or preparing the tasks of the interim preparatory body.

The populations of the municipalities and their political representation was taken into account in the composition of the monitoring group. The appointments were carried out in accordance with instructions issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health.

Members of the monitoring group:

• The chairs and deputy chairs of the city and municipal boards of cities and municipalities in Western Uusimaa
• Chairperson of the Board of the Rescue Department

The first meeting of the monitoring group will be held on 6 October 2021. The term of the monitoring group will end when the Western Uusimaa county council has held its first meeting.
