Fish & Dip day in schools and day-care centres on 20 May 2026

On Wednesday 20 May, all of Espoo Catering’s schools and day-care centres will have a Fish & Dip day! At lunch, we will dip Finnish fish and colourful vegetables into dip sauces. The menu includes rainbow trout nuggets made from domestic rainbow trout, spicy vegetable nuggets, dip vegetables and two different dips.

The aim of the Fish & Dip event is to find new delicious fish dishes for the menus of schools and day-care centres. According to the nutrition recommendations, fish should be eaten 2–3 times a week, varying between different fish species. Espoo Catering has already increased the number of fish dishes on its menus and is constantly looking for more fish dishes that children and young people like. Food events are an excellent way to collect feedback on new dishes!

The main venue for the Fish & Dip day is the Juvanpuiston koulu school in Niipperi, Espoo, where experts from Espoo Catering will be present on Wednesday 20 May. Product tasting and a fishing game will be organised in the school restaurant and feedback will be collected at a feedback stand. Pupils will have an opportunity to evaluate the dishes of the day, express their opinion on the event and give open feedback.
