What would it be like in your dream city that would inspire you to work on joint issues, where it would be easy to get to know your neighbours and where no one would have to feel their life lacks meaning?

Join the discussion!(external link, opens in a new window)

What are the building blocks that make your daily life in Espoo meaningful? Which services, structures or places inspire you? What would you like to do more of in Espoo? What has prevented you from participating in activities organised by the city? In which situations have you felt able to influence the city?

We want to build a city for you where you can actively contribute to matters that mean a lot to you and get to express yourself. A city where you have a role and get to feel valued. Tell us how we can do it!

We are asking residents for opinions on the Voxit platform from 28 August to 31 October 2026. Voxit is an anonymous discussion platform where users vote on different statements. The platform will display you a set of statements, and you can either agree or disagree with them, or skip them. You can also add your own statements to the platform until the halfway point of the discussion, after which you can still vote on other users’ statements.

You can participate in any language, as the platform’s translation feature allows others to see the added statements in their own language. You can respond to as many statements as you like. Your responses are saved automatically after each statement.

It is important to us that your views are heard in the discussion. We want to be here for you, and no one else thinks exactly like you. Also ask other people in your life to respond – the city must be equally good for everyone!

We are, of course, particularly interested in your ideas and feedback on how the city contributes to your well-being. So when responding, think about the opportunities to do things together with others in your neighbourhood and your encounters with other Espoo residents and the city employees. For example, they can occur on your home street or in a nearby park, at the city's sports facilities, libraries, youth facilities, on the city's website or at events organised by the city. Please note that this discussion does not include health services or the wellbeing services county.

The results of the discussion will be used in updating the city’s participation programme. The participation programme defines the entire city organisation’s shared commitment and the means to promote participation and inclusion comprehensively. Participating in the discussion is an easy way to help add concrete measures to the city's important roadmap.
