Equality and non-discrimination TASSU prize
Launched by the Espoo Equality Committee, the TASSU prize highlights activities carried out by the City of Espoo and other operators in Espoo to promote equality and non-discrimination in our society. The prize is awarded every year, and its format and emphasis have been developed by various committees over the years to meet current needs.
What is TASSU prize?
The purpose of the TASSU prize is to highlight tangible actions that promote equality and non-discrimination. The prize is handed out annually. The winner will receive €1,000 for the advancement of equality and non-discrimination.
Residents and employees of the City of Espoo can nominate actions that advance equality and non-discrimination in our city, thereby highlighting them and inspiring others to do their part.
We are looking for bold actions promoting equality among children and young people – could your action and idea be the next trailblazer in 2026?
In 2026, we want to highlight concrete actions that make the world more equal and inclusive for children and young people.
Now is the time to seize the opportunity.
We are looking for innovative, effective and practical actions that challenge traditional ways of working and open doors for everyone, regardless of their background, identity or personal situation. The action could be a bold experiment, an insightful concept or an entirely new way of addressing equality and inclusion issues in everyday life.
We are particularly interested in solutions that:
- make equality and inclusion visible and tangible;
- strengthen the participation and voice of children and young people;
- remove barriers and combat prejudices;
- create new opportunities for growth and a sense of belonging.
Whether in a school, hobby group, community or digital environment, meaningful actions take place where everyday life happens.
Don’t wait for change – make it happen. Tell us about your or someone else’s activities that deserve recognition. Together we can build a future where every child and young person has an equal opportunity to shine.
In 2026, we want to highlight concrete actions that make the world more equal and inclusive for children and young people.
