A busy year draws to a close
On the last day of school Pre-DP and DP1 students gathered for a final session before the well-earned summer break. DP Coordinator David Crawford reminded everyone how important it is to recharge batteries over the weeks ahead.
Okay, DP1 students have an Extended Essay to work upon but this cannot be allowed to take over the entire vocation. Instead, it can make excellent sense to conduct a bit of research over the coming days and wait until the close of the holiday to try to make sense of it.
Pre-DP students handed out paper “crowns” to students who stood out in some humorous way and teachers presented small medals of their own to students who showed promise and character during the year. These prizes went to Markus Andresen, Neema Muiruri and Anna Croft from DP1, and Agustina Hermandez, Sylvia Scheider and Cecilia Barnes from Pre-DP. Very well done to each! Homeroom tutors wished all students a restful summer and that was it. Sunshine and silenced alarm clocks beckon!
