Etis sails through the five-year review

21.3.2025 8.23

Every fifth year the IB creates an opportunity for each school to take stock of its progress in offering a quality education. Standards, practices and policies are scrutinized for consistency with the high standards which the IB expects.

Everything from unit plans to schedules, CAS provision to academic integrity, language policy to collaboration, are assessed first by the school and then examined by IB staff. Certain aspects, like student support and approaches to assessment, were commended as showing notable development. There were no matters at all to be addressed. Helpful points for further development were offered.

The conclusion of the evaluation team was that “The school community is passionately dedicated to equipping students to become catalysts for positive change in the ever-evolving landscape of the twenty-first century”. We are naturally delighted with this affirmation and held a small celebration, raising our glasses, among staff and student representatives to mark the occasion. Surely, on this basis, we can go forward with confidence to embrace the challenges that lie ahead.
