Matinkylä upper secondary school
The upper secondary school Matinkylän lukio provides its close to 700 students with transversal general knowledge education leading to the Finnish matriculation diploma. Our school is arts-oriented and a member of UNESCO Associated Schools, thus offering a wide range of art courses and a mission to raise awareness about sustainable development and global issues. Our students are 16-18 years old. We want to encourage our students, coming from a multitude of backgrounds, to grow both academically and as global citizens.
Matinkylän lukio (previously Kaitaan lukio) moved to a new school building in the beginning of 2024. In the coming years our school will raise its student intake up to 800-900.
