WeeGee's Summer Camps

In June, WeeGee organizes week-long day camps intended for children aged 7–10. Participation requires that the child has completed the first year of school.

The content of the camps is based on the exhibition content of Tapiola's museums and they are introduced from different perspectives through experiencing and doing. The important thing is the we-spirit and the joy of success.

The price is 200–225 euros depending on the length of the summer camp week. The cost includes guided activities, materials, as well as a daily lunch and a snack. The summer camps are organized in cooperation by Espoo's Cultural Venues and Services, together with the museums of WeeGee and their partners.

In line with WeeGee’s anniversary year, the theme of this year’s summer camps is celebration. Activities of the week include:

During EMMA’s day, we celebrate in the world of art, where even ordinary things can become extraordinary. We explore art through different senses, play, and our own imagination. The art celebration culminates in creating your own artwork to take home. EMMA is an experiential museum where you can see modern art, contemporary art, and design in its exhibitions.

During KAMU’s day, we explore disco culture and different music styles through fun activities, without forgetting theme-related crafts.

During the morning at Museo Leikki, we search for gift boxes in the Laboratory of play exhibition and get to know the toys found inside them. In the workshop, we create delicious birthday cakes through crafts.

This year, for the first time, the Children's Cultural Centre Aurora will also be a content provider at the WeeGee summer camp parties: w
hat would a party be without partygoers? During the afternoon with Children's Cultural Centre Aurora, we will be creating partygoers using various techniques - without forgetting the hero of the party.
