Upper Secondary School Joint Application 2025
Application procedures vary between the general and visual arts lines.
In the joint application for 2025, the general line of Viherlaakso Upper Secondary School has 155 and the visual arts line has 25 starting places.
The electronic joint application process takes place in the Studyinfo(external link, opens in a new window) -service. The application period for the joint application period for post-basic education in spring of 2025 is 18.2.2025 - 18.3.2025.
Applying to Viheri
The lowest acceptable grade point average required in Espoo upper secondary schools in general is 7,00. Students are selected for upper secondary schools in the order of the grade point average in the applicant's comprehensive school certificate.
Admission of students to general upper secondary school is based on the grade point average for the following subjects on the basic education certificate:
- mother tongue and literature
- second national language
- foreign languages
- religion or ethics
- history
- social studies
- mathematics
- physics
- chemistry
- biology
- health education
- geography
Applying to our general education line:
The admission to our general education line is based on the applicants’ grade point average. The lowest grade point average accepted is normally around 7.5.

Applying to our visual arts line:
Our visual arts line is its own separate option available in the joint application process. Students accepted into our visual arts line are selected based on the grade point average in the applicant's comprehensive school certificate and the total score of a separate visual arts entrance examination.
All applicants to our visual arts line will be invited to an on-site entrance exam. Participation is mandatory in order to be accepted. The invitations for the spring 2024 entrance examination with enrollment instructions will be sent in March to the applicants.
The entrance exam for spring 2024 will be held on Thu 24.4.2025 at 12.30–17.30. The back-up date for the entrance examination is on Fri 2.5.2025 at 8.30–13.30. The applicants must primarily take the entrance exam on the actual date 24.4. With a special permission from our principal, the entrance examination can be taken on the back-up date 2.5.

Yhteishaku 2025
Yleis- ja kuvataidelinjallemme on erilaiset hakumenettelyt, joihin pääset tutustumaan omista osioistaan. Vuoden 2025 yhteishaussa Viherlaakson lukion yleislinjalla on 155 ja kuvataidelinjalla 25 aloituspaikkaa.
Sähköinen yhteishaku tapahtuu Opintopolku(external link, opens in a new window)-palvelussa. Kevään 2025 perusopetuksen jälkeisen koulutuksen yhteishaun hakuaika on 18.2.2025 - 18.3.2025.
Hakeminen Viherlaakson lukioon
Alin vaadittava keskiarvo Espoon lukioissa yleisesti: Opiskelijat valitaan Espoon lukioihin lukuaineiden keskiarvon mukaisessa järjestyksessä. Voidakseen tulla hyväksytyksi espoolaiseen lukioon tulee hakijan peruskoulun päättötodistuksen lukuaineiden keskiarvon olla vähintään 7,00.
Hakeminen yleislinjalle
Viherlaakson lukion yleislinjalle haetaan peruskoulun päättötodistuksen lukuaineiden keskiarvolla. Yleislinjallemme hyväksyttyjen alin keskiarvo on yleensä noin 7,5.

Hakeminen kuvataidelinjalle
Viherlaakson lukion kuvataidelinja on yhteishaussa oma hakukohteensa. Kuvataidelinjallemme hyväksyttävät opiskelijat valitaan peruskoulun päättötodistuksen lukuaineiden keskiarvon ja erillisen kuvataiteen valintakokeen yhteispistemäärän perusteella.
Kaikki kuvataidelinjallemme hakevat kutsutaan paikan päällä järjestettävään valintakokeeseen. Valintakokeeseen on osallistuttava, jotta voi tulla hyväksytyksi kuvataidelinjallemme. Kevään 2025 valintakoekutsu ilmoittautumisohjeineen lähetetään maaliskuussa hakijoille.
Kevään 2025 valintakoe järjestetään to 24.4.2025 klo 12.30–17.30. Valintakokeen varapäivä on pe 2.5.2025 klo 8.30–13.30. Valintakokeeseen voi osallistua varapäivänä vain, jos on saanut siihen luvan lukion rehtorilta.
