Matinkylä residents' park club
Matinkylä redsidents' park club provides club activities for children in Finnish.
A 2-5-year-old child that is staying at home, has a chance to take part in guided activities at Matinkylä asukaspuisto. The club activities are conducted in Finnish. The club has a teacher and a nanny.
The essential part of club activities are developing social skills and gaining positive experiences alone and in groups. The club activities support the development of self-esteem and independence. During club hours, children have an opportunity for free play and guided activities, including arts and crafts, exercise, music and story time/reading books. Club activities are halted for a short lunch break, during which children will eat their healthy homemade packed lunches ie. fruits, vegetables, bread and a bottle of water. It's also good to pack an extra set of clothing and indoor shoes for your child. Children who are still in diapers also require a few extra diapers and clean wipes packed in their backpacks.
The clubs adhere to school vacation times. Children are insured during club activities.
Matinkylä residential park has two clubs, Hallit (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 11:30) and Norpat (Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 to 11.30).
Club activities are free of charge and the working term for the clubs is from August to the end of May. Accepted applications are for one term only. You must always make a new application for the next term. The application period is during March, but you can also apply after the application period in case there is an opening during the term.
