Stora Herrö

The shores of Stora Herrö are mostly rocky, but you can also find shallow sandy inlets and seaside meadows on the eastern side of the island. The forest areas are dominated by pine trees, but there are also some spruce trees growing on the shores and in the dips between the rocks. Söderviken in the southern part of the island features a small sedge fen. There are cottages on the island, but most parts of the northern and eastern shores are open to the public. The island offers an excellent place for recreation and relaxation. Dogs are also welcome on the island, but they must be kept on a leash. On the Stora Herrö island, there is a restaurant for private events / event space HERRÖ, cooking shelters and firewood, toilets, campfire sites, mooring rings, an observation tower and monitoring. Camping is allowed, and the island can also be accessed by scheduled archipelago boats.
