Scheduled archipelago boats

Scheduled archipelago boat service to and from Espoo's islands operates during the summer season. There is scheduled archipelago traffic to five different outdoor recreation islands: Iso Vasikkasaari, Pentala, Gåsgrund, Rövaren and Stora Herrö. The long archipelago routes start from Kivenlahti and Otaniemi. The short routes to Iso Vasikkasaari can be reached from Suomenoja, Haukilahti and Nokkala. The routes to Pentala Archipelago Museum start from Suomenoja, Suinonsalmi and Soukka. The archipelago route for cyclists goes around the Suvisaaristo islands but doesn't stop at any island.

On summer season 2025 scheduled archipelago boats run from 17 May to 14 September

You can find the specific dates and days on which the boats operate on this page under each route. The information is also available in the HSL Journey Planner.(external link, opens in a new window) Please note that the archipelago boats do not run on Mondays.

Passenger numbers and weather conditions may affect the schedules. The Pentala route does not operate during midsummer. The other routes operate according to their normal schedule.

You can also take a longer day trip to Stora Herrö, Rövaren or Gåsgrund as there is an evening boat service from these islands to Otaniemi. You can find the schedule under the Otaniemi route.
