Iso Vasikkasaari

The island offers an excellent place for recreation and relaxation. Dogs are also welcome on the island, but they must be kept on a leash. Iso Vasikkasaari is partly accessible for people with disabilities, but usually an assistant is required. The archipelago boat trip from Nokkala to Iso Vasikkasaari is partly accessible. The island's nature is diverse and lush. The scheduled archipelago boat stops at the pier. With the exception of the northwestern corner, the entire island is open to the public. The shores are lined with beautiful seaside meadows, displaying the greatest diversity in the southern parts of the island. The island features an old fisherman's cottage that serves as a kiosk. Camping is not allowed. In the summertime, you can visit restaurant Gula Villan. To sum up, the island has a café and a restaurant in the summer, cooking shelters and firewood (also in the winter), toilets (also for people with disabilities), children's play equipment, water supply in the summer, lawn areas, a beach, an observation tower, mooring buoys and rings, paths (partly accessible for people with reduced mobility) and monitoring. The island is also served by scheduled archipelago boats.
