Allotment service and urban farming

Urban farming refers to growing edible plants, vegetables, herbs and flowers in an urban environment, for example on allotments, in the yards of residential buildings, on balconies or on windowsills. The City of Espoo's allotments offer Espoo residents the opportunity to practice urban farming in different parts of the city. The city rents out allotments for the cultivation of useful plants and is responsible for their rental and supervision and for providing guidelines related to cultivation. ALLOTMENTS The usual size of allotments is 10x10 m (Järvenperä, Kaitaa, Kauklahti, Koivu-Mankkaa, Leppäsilta, Rastaala B and C, Finnoo A, B and C, Tuomarila, Latokaski), EUR 65/year. Allotments 4x5 m (Silkkiniitty), EUR 50/year. Small planter box 80x120 cm for people with reduced mobility (Silkkiniitty). The height of the planter box can be adjusted. EUR 30/year.
