The planning process will safeguard the significant ecological corridor and take into account the Espoonjokilaakso river valley landscape area, both of which are of regional importance. The participation and assessment scheme, along with the preparation material for the planning, is expected to be available for public review in the 2025 spring term.

The detailed plan and its amendment were initiated by a decision of the City Board on 15 October 2024.At the starting stage of the planning process, there will be planning consultation with public authorities. Based on this consultation, the foundational data, conditions and any additional investigations required for the continuation of planning will be updated.
