Refurbishment of the Saarnimäki playground
ParksEspoon keskusThe renovation plan for the Saarnimäki playground has been completed. Building of the playground will start in the fall of 2025 and will be completed by early 2026.

You can find the final plan at the bottom of this page under “Downloadable files”. There is also an illustrated document concerning the playground equipment and furniture included in the plan as well as a written description of the content of the plan (in Finnish).
The playground will be built in the next few years.
Planning process:
A resident survey organised at the beginning of the planning allowed the residents to express their wishes and opinions regarding the state of the existing playground and the renovation project. The idea was to use the feedback received in the design of the playground. The survey was open from 13th of December 2023 to 31st of January 2024, with a link available on this page.
You can find the report on the survey results at the bottom of this page (in Finnish).
A draft plan was prepared after the survey, and it was available for public review and comment on this page from 11th of June to 30th of June 2024. No feedback was given, so the plan was finalised based on the draft plan.
The playground will be built in 2025.
